How to Save at the Sephora Sale

The Sephora spring sale is coming soon! It’s one of the most exciting events of the year for beauty lovers. It’s a great time to check out new beauty products on the market and stock up on items you may have run out of, or that you’re interested in getting at a discount. 

Because Sephora is known for having so many products; from beauty to skincare and now home items it might be overwhelming to shop during this time. Especially if you are new to all things beauty. 

As someone who has had the opportunity to shop the Sephora sale a few times over, I wanted to share with you some of the tips I follow when shopping during this time. Hopefully it’ll make your shopping experience fun and exciting! 

1. Make a budget. For those who have been following me for awhile you know I’m a big advocate of shopping within your means and on a budget. The same idea goes for this sale; create a budget, and stick to it! Be honest with yourself on how much you are willing to spend and shop within your means. You aren’t making the best use of the sale if you end up spending more money and on things you didn’t plan for. 
2. Make a list. Before you start putting items into your shopping bag take inventory of what you already have. When you go through your beauty and skincare products make a list of what’s missing, what you’d like to replenish, and wish list items. Be sure to identify the products you really want. Making a list for the Sephora sale will help you to not only stay focused, and not impulsively purchase items, but also will provide you with an idea of what your spending could look like. 
3. Review all the discounts. Sephora provides various discounts for different products; for example, often their own Sephora brand has a higher discount rate than other brands. So make sure you review all the items on sale before shopping. Compare the brands and see which products would work best for you.
4. Read reviews. It is so important to read product reviews before spending money on anything. Even if it’s on sale! On my website (shameless plug), I have more than a few beauty reviews to check out. If you come across a product that you are interested in purchasing during the sale and the reviews are not positively speaking about the product I’d suggest to save your coins and find something else. If you still decided to purchase a product with bad reviews and it ends up not working for you, don’t forget that Sephora has a great return policy for you to take advantage of.

Those are my top four tips to saving money at the Sephora sale. It’s a great time to save money on your product favourites while also exploring new items at a discount. By using the tips shared you’ll be able to make the best use of your budget while also purchasing products you really like.
