This month marks 1 year since most of us have been working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. This has now become the norm for many; at times, work life versus home life may feel non-existent. During the start of the year I decided to create a dedicated space for myself to work in so I can regain a sense of home in my small apartment. What I did was transform my storage unit into a DIY home office and warehouse for my skincare brand Skin Sezson.
My home office and warehouse cost me about $400 dollars and was completed in under a month since I had to wait for items to be shipped. It’s a small, minimalistic space that provides the perfect environment to focus and work in. What’s best about my DIY office is that I’m able to create a balanced lifestyle of work and play. The hardest thing about working from home is creating boundaries when working and remembering to rest. Having a dedicated work space allows me to do so.
