Hello fellow beauty lovers! I’m so pleased to share with you my latest beauty obsession and that is the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in Hot Chocolit. As the weather warms up I’m transitioning my beauty products to better cater to nice and hot sunny days. For me that means switching to lighter beauty products; one of which being wearing lip glosses more often as opposed to heavy lipsticks.
As a Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb enthusiast I’m not new to wearing Gloss Bomb I’ve worn the original since it was launched and it’s my go-to lip gloss. Check out my review of it HERE . I decide to give Chocolit a try because I’ve never worn such a deep rich chocolate brown lipgloss shade that is so similar to my skin tone. It’s interesting to me to see how it’ll look against my skin tone. Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in Hot Chocolit is a stunning rich brown lip gloss filled with gold, copper, and purple/pink flakes. This gloss is transformational and multi-dimensional; shifting colours slightly under different lighting. True to the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb formulation, this is a shiny, nourishing gloss that applies easily leaving no sticky residue.
As you can see from the picture above due to the change in lighting Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in Hot Chocolit has taken on a more copper-like shade with beautiful purple/pink undertones. It swatches on my skin as a clear based lip gloss with gold and pink shimmer. On my lips this gloss appears to be a simple clear gloss with a lot of shine. I have heavily pigmented lips and I think that’s why the brown shade of this gloss doesn’t appear so easily.
True to standard Fenty Beauty Gloss bomb this product is truly nourishing and packs a lot of shine. If you have a skin tone that is similar to mine and are trying to decide which Fenty Gloss Bomb is best to pick up I’d honestly tell you that it doesn’t matter. They all appear the same on the lips – a clear base gloss with a lot of shimmer. Let’s save our money and only pick up one 😉
