Bio Seaweed Gel in Peony

Hello fellow manicure lovers! It’s been awhile since my last manicure post and I thought its only right for me to come back with a bang! As you can see I got a little bit creative with this manicure and had fun doing this simple yet eye-catching style of adding a glitter accent nail and pairing it with complimentary glitter dots in the same shade. For the past couple of months I’ve been obsessed with Bio Seaweed Gel polish in Peony. I’ve been wearing it on and off as it’s such a pretty colour against my skintone.

Bio Seaweed Gel describes this shade as a pastel lavender-blue. This is a gel polish that is cream based and goes on in full coverage in only 2 coats! I do agree with the description; it definitely is a pastel lavender-blue shade. The longer I wear this colour the more I see notes of lavender pull through. I’ve successfully worn this shade for about a week and a half before I started noticing visible signs of chipping.

As with most gel polishes, this shade had to be cured using an LED light. Over this past year I’ve been more inclined to wear gel polishes because of the length of time it lasts on my nails. Plus not having to wait a long time for my polish to dry is another benefit! Since I’ve had the opportunity to apply my own gel polishes see my tips below on how to make it last for longer than a week!

  • Prep your natural nail well. Ensure that your cuticles are trimmed and the length of your nail is shaped evenly to reduce snagging and random polish chips
  • Gently file the surface of your natural nail so the gel polish has something to cling to in order to last longer
  • Apply thin layers of gel polish so it dries evenly under the LED light
  • When applying gel polish keep the polish away from you skin so it doesn’t pull and eventually chip off
  • Don’t use your nails as tools! Get a pair of scissors if you need to open up a box 😉

What do you think of this shade? Let me know in the comment section below!

Best,

Eseeri
