7 tips to stay on track with your fitness goals

Hello fellow fitness enthusiasts! I’m doing another fitness challenge. I know, I know, at this point it may seem as though I’m obsessed with them. The truth is, I am! Lol. I really do enjoy doing these 30 day fitness challenges because they honestly help me to stay on track with my fitness journey.

Below are some tips on how to stay on track with your fitness goals.

  1. Plan in advance. Plan when you’ll be doing your workout each day so you have no excuses to make. Personally I typically prefer to go to the gym after work. However, if I have social engagements, I always plan to make it to the gym early in the morning or during my lunch break.
  2. Prepare healthy meals. Prepare healthy meals in advance so you have no excuse to eat anything that is outside of your healthy meal plan. ALWAYS carry your healthy food with you if you are out and about in order to resist any temptation.
  3. Drink your water. I cannot stress this enough! Personally, I now drink a minimum of 3 liters of water a day to help my body function to the best of its ability.
  4. Have clean gym clothes readily available. To further reduce any excuses of not making it to a workout, always make sure you have freshly washed gym clothes.
  5. Pack your gym bag the night before. Another secret to making it to the gym is ensuring that everything you need is already packed and ready to go. From your gym clothes, shower essentials, protein shake and anything else you may need should be packed in advance. All you need to do is pick it up and head out!   6. Always stretch after a workout. Stretching helps your body to recover and ease any tension you may have from working out.
  7. Sleep! A good night’s rest is integral to helping your body recover and perform each workout to its best ability.
