Philosophy Skin Care. What comes to mind when you hear that? I’ve known about this brand for years and the first thing that I think of is clean affordable luxury skin care that works! I’m excited to share with you these three Philosophy Skin Care products that I’ve been testing over these past few months.
Philosophy Purity Micellar Cleanser Water is described as a no-rinse cleansing water that removes all traces of makeup, dirt and daily impurities. This product cleanses you skin helping it to feel clean and refreshed. This is the first micellar cleanser that I’ve experienced and I liked it!
It’s an unscented, clear liquid formula that really did remove my makeup quickly and easily and left my skin feeling fresh. When using this product I poured a bit of it on my makeup wipe and gently applied the wipe to my face. It removed my makeup effortlessly.
If you’re not familiar with micellar water, try this one out; especially since it was refreshing to use, didn’t sting my eyes, or leave a weird residue.
Philosphy Purity Pore Extractor Exfoliating Clay Mask is described as an exfoliating clay mask that is suitable for all skin types. It exfoliates your skin to reveal soft smooth skin. The clay and salicylic acid helps to keep your skin clear of acne and wrinkle free. It’s a white clay mask with what I’d describe as micro-exfoliators. It has a soft spa-like scent that makes the experience of using it pleasant. I found this product easy to apply. The instructions suggest applying the mask on clean dry skin and letting it sit for a maximum of 10 minutes and removing it with warm water.
I enjoyed using this mask; from my experience it’s easy to use especially since it’s a multitask mask that not only removes impurities (thanks to the clay), but also as an exfoliating mask with the exfoliators imbedded within. One thing I did notice was how dry my skin felt after use. I have combination oily skin. If you have dry skin this product may not be for you because from my experience, it feels as though it stripped my skin of moisture.
Philosophy Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer is described as a light daily moisturizer that not only keeps your skin feeling subtle and hydrated, but is also known to minimize the appearance of pores, dryness and uneven skin texture.
I found this to be a light moisturizer that does what it says; its a light moisturizer that keeps your skin feeling fresh and hydrated. Since I’ve been testing this product, from my experience, I think it’d be best to use during the warmer season (spring and summer months). It’s not a rich cream that would keep your skin feeling moisturized during the winter months. If you do use this product during the cooler seasons and you experience dry skin, consider layering another moisturizer on top of it to keep you skin feeling moisturized.
