Picking a Travel Destination

Hello fellow wunderlusters! It’s that time of the year again when vacation planning begins!

Thoughts of where to go, for how long, costs, and who to travel with float through my mind. When it comes to planning for a much needed vacation, the first thing I do is to try and figure out where to go.

As an avid solo traveller, I think determining where to travel first is important if you travel on your own or with others. Picking a new country to explore helps to set the foundation of all other travel plans that you need to compose for your trip.

Below are some questions to consider when picking a travel destination:

• Do I want to travel within the country that I live in, or internationally?
• If I decide to travel outside of my country of residence how far am I willing to go?
• Is the country that I’m travelling to safe?
• How much vacation time do I have?
• Do I want to travel on my own or with others?
• Do I want to travel with a travel group?
• How much money do I have saved up for my trip?

All of the above thoughts and questions pass through my mind and help me to figure out my travel plans every year!
