Smokey Eye Tips

Hi beauties! I’m starting off the month with a bold makeup look! It’s a new month; be bold and fearless! I choose to be bold and fearless with my makeup by trying out a black smokey eyeshadow look complimented by a nude lip.

This was my first time doing this look and I think it came out ok. I’ll be practicing it a little bit more till it’s perfect! Below are some tips to share if you’re a beginner like me when it comes to applying black smokey eyeshadow.

1. Use an eyeshadow primer to help your eyeshadow stick (this decreases fallout) and for the pigmentation of the black eyeshadow to be applied on evenly.
2. Blend, blend and blend some more! The secret to this look was to blend out the stark edges around my eyes
3. Use a rich brown eyeshadow to blend out the dark eyeshadow. This helps to soften the look and duals as a transition shade on your eyes
4. Be bold; wear your dark eyeshadow smokey eye with confidence!
