Dermalogica Facial

Hi beauties! I’m sharing with you my first experience with the skin care brand Dermalogica. I’ve come across this brand a few times at Sephora and other retailers where its sold but I had never taken the chance to learn and experience the products until now. Sephora provided it’s customers the opportunity to sign up for a 30 minute facial and I jumped at the chance to get one! Recently, my skin has been extremely dry, acne prone, and sensitive due to the harsh cold winter weather. I was looking forward to a pamper session and to find out which products from the Dermalogica brand would be best suited to improve my skin.

Prior to the facial, we went through a consultation where I shared my skin concerns and what I hoped to achieve. The facial also began with an in-depth close-up analysis of my skin to see what needed to be cared for. This issues on my face included comedones acne, fine lines, dehydration, and pigmentation (scarring because I’ve been picking at my skin).

I’ll be sharing some of my favourite products that were used:

• My facial began with a soothing cleanse; removing makeup debris and dirt using the pre-cleanse oil busting emulsifyer. I loved how smooth this cleanser felt without feeling greasy against my skin.
• To gently exfoliate my skin, the daily microfoliant was used. I enjoyed how this wasn’t a harsh exfoliating product that still made my skin feel smooth after use. I was told that this product could be used on its own or added to a cleanser.
• For a pamper session, the multivitamin power recovery masque was used. This mask is known to help aging and stressed skin look better by hydrating, brightening and soothing dehydrated, damaged and aging skin.

Overall, I had a great experience with Dermalogica products and I would purchase these items in the future. I’d recommend checking out this brand  if you’re looking to try a new luxe skincare line!
