Hello fashion lovers. When you think of dress rentals what comes to mind? For me the fist thought is an immediate NOPE not for me.
However, my views of renting a dress for special a occasion quickly changed last week when I wore my first rented dress for a gala event. A few days before the gala I had nothing to wear; I knew of the gala weeks before and was procrastinating on looking for a dress.
The event I attended was the Power Ball XX: Carousal gala; a fun art filled night of drinks, food and various art installations. The theme for the night was circus-inspired. I knew I had to find something to match the theme, yet was still in-line with my personal style.
A friend recommended Ftizroy Boutique and I’m so glad she did! Fitzroy is a dress rental boutique where you can rent a dress of your choice for a few days. They have so many dresses from long, to short, mesh, sequins, bodycon, shift, and jumpsuits too! They have so many options to choose from AND even provide you with the opportunity to rent accessories such as handbags. I decided that renting a dress was the perfect option for me because I’m one of those ladies that only likes wearing special occasion dresses once; and then they are either given away or just sit in my closet. I’m in the process of getting rid of clothes that I no longer wear and renting a dress was the perfect option for me during this time.
As you can see I choose to rent a beautiful pink sequined blazer-type dress for the event. It was made with long sleeves, a low cut in the front and close to being a mini-dress.
