Hi beauties! A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to sit in on a taping of Cityline Fashion and Beauty Friday episode! I was so excited for this opportunity because I’ve been watching this show since I was a kid; it was like I was living out a childhood dream of being able to sit in on a taping!

As soon as I entered the location where the show is taped, all attendees were greeted by our wonderful host Dave Lackie! We were moved upstairs to a beautiful breakfast spread, had the opportunity to mingle with one another and then had the chance to meet and take pictures with Cityline host Tracy Moore. We were all excited to meet her and were appreciative of the fact that she took the time to take a picture with all of us. Amazing!
Once breakfast was done and introductions were complete, we were giving information about the show and what to expect. We were then all moved downstairs to be seated in the audience. It was all becoming real that were were about to see a taping of an exciting episode and the energy in the room was filled with joy!
Before taping began, once more we were cued to not be afraid to show our excitement or to react as audience members. This was one of the best experiences of the taping because the energy was high and we weren’t afraid to show it!

The show began with fashion. Lynn Spense gave us a first look at the latest spring fashion from Joe Fresh. The models looked stunning in their styled outfits and we all drooled. Lol. Lynn also shared with us tips and tricks on how to choose the best frames to choose for your face shape when looking for the perfect pair of glasses.

After the fashion segment we were all treated with a showcase and informational session from Dave Lackie of the latest spring beauty, skincare and fragrance trends for 2018. We learned about products from Philosophy, Guerlain and more! Dave also shared with us tips on makeup application and how to get the best use from your skincare products and fragrance.

After the beauty segment we were treated to a hairstyle segment by Bill Rowley; he taught us how to use a blowdryer properly in order to get the best use of our blowdryers and to get our hairstyles lasting a longtime. The best tip I got from his segment is to turn the hot setting on my blowdryer to cool in order to set my style in place! Bill was also responsible for the styling of the makeover participant for the day.

After the hair segment we were taught by Grace Lee on how to get a dramatic lash look from mascara! She shared the different types of mascara brushes and the type of effect they have on your lashes. Grace showed us how to build your mascara on your lashes for the ultimate dramatic lash-look.

The show ended with the showcasing of a makeover! One lucky audience member was made over from head to toe! Shamaara’s hair was cut and styled to perfection. Makeup effortlessly applied; she had the perfect glow! And to top it off she was styled with the latests Joe Fresh clothes and accessories. It was a great makeover 🙂
One of the biggest surprises throughout the show was being gifted with so many amazing products that were talked about for each segment! We (the audience) were floored at receiving a gift bag worth over $1000!!! It was a luxurious gift that I personally was extremely grateful for and I’m more than happy to share information on the goodies I received in an upcoming post!
Thank you to Dave Lackie, Tracy Moore and the Cityline team for making it a special day for all of us. I had an amazing time and enjoyed meeting new people, sitting in the audience and learning about all things beauty, fashion and hair!
