How to Wear Orange Lipstick

Hi beauties! I’ve currently been obsessed with wearing a bold orange lipstick whenever I go out. My favourite is by MAC called So Chaud. At the moment, I feel like it’s the perfect season to wear such a commanding colour. The weather is still nice and warm with hints of fall just around the corner. As you can imagine, wearing a bright orange lipstick is not the norm. To see tips on how I make it look, and other bold colours look “natural” see below!

• Be sure to make sure your lips are exfoliated and moisturized prior to application!
• Always line your lips with a lipliner so that the colour stays in place and doesn’t bleed out.
• When wearing orange lipstick I wear either a brown or red lipliner to make the colour transition seamlessly into my complexion. A brown lip liner depends the colour a little bit and a red lip liner helps to bring out the red hues.
• Generally, I like to keep the rest of my makeup subtle and understated when wearing this shade. Or, if I’m going for an eyeshadow look I’ll lean towards choosing similar or complimentary shades.
• Wear clothing that complements your lipstick. In this case I paired my lip-look with a yellow top
• Wear any lipstick colour with confidence!
