Fitness Goals – July 2017

Confession time. Fitness hasn’t been a top priority for me these past few months. Yes, of course I’ve still been going to the gym but I feel like I haven’t really been giving it my all. Do I break a sweat? Yes. Am I able to complete my cardio and strength training? Yes. What I’m realizing is that I’ve been missing the whole mind and body connection when it comes to my workouts. Hence why it has taken a backseat. 

That all changes this month! For some reason a spark has been reunited in me to “go hard” again. I want to train like I used to and not just go through the motions when working out. On top of that, I’m now more determined to get back on track with eating healthy. That means no more excessive carb consumption (I’ll miss my breads and chips), and everything in moderation.

This month my workouts are going back to the basis

  • 30 minutes cardio
  • 30 minutes strength training on a particular body part (I’ll alternate between lower and upper body)
  • core training every other day
  • 10 – 15 minutes stretch
