My current obsession in my skincare routine is by the ever popular The Ordinary. I’m sharing with you a must have from their skincare line; hyaluronic acid 2% + B5. Seriously, this product was love at first use. If you are not familiar with hyaluronic acid its a water soluable humectant – it draws water in.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 comes packaged in a white cardboard box with black text. The list of ingredients, and directions of use are also provided. This is a vegan product that is fragrance free and good to use up to 12 months after opening. The actual container holding the acid is a frosted glass jar with a white squeeze-tube dropper applicator.
Performance
To use, make sure your face is cleansed and use a toner if you’d like. Next, place a few drops in the palm of your hand and pat onto the skin. As soon as I put the hyaluronic acid on I notice that my skin absorbs it in immediately and then I feel a slight sticky texture before it completely dries down. There is no white film or residue following application. However, I did notice that if I combine certain products with it, the product that I apply will at times crumble so I am aware of what products to put on top of it and what to avoid. (As of now, I know to avoid applying my mattifying primer and sunscreen at the same time when using this product).
Product Review
When I first used this product, I was concerned. At first application, I thought it was too watery and once it dried I didn’t like the way it felt on my skin; my face felt dry. I continued on with my daily skincare routine and didn’t notice a difference. The second time I tried this product is when I started to notice something. After application, I didn’t wait till it fully dried. I moved on to applying my face cream. The difference was immediate. My face seemed to plump up and soften all at the same time. It’s like moisture was being sucked into it. This is a must try if you are a skin care enthusiaest!
