I purchased NYX Tinted Brow Mascara in Black. This tinted brow mascara comes packaged in a slim brown cylindar tube with a black twist-off top. When you take the top off you’ll find a spooly attached to it, with.0.22 fl. oz. (6.5mL) of product inside the tube.
For those who have been following my blog for awhile you’ll know that I prefer having dark brows. The lightest I’ve ever gone with my brow colour is a soft black shade. It’s important for me to mention that this is not a black tinted black shade as the name indicates. It’s actually a brown tinted brow mascara. I was disappointed about that.
When i first tried this product I was not impressed. I expected the wand to apply a rich black/brown pigment on my brows so I wouldn’t have to fill them in with a pencil or palmade. What I realized is this product isn’t meant for me to use on it’s own. When using NYX Tinted Brow Mascara the best way for me to use it is as a topper; on top of any other eyebrow product I put on beforehand. What it does is groom my brow hairs in place and add a bit of definition to complete the look. The spooly disperses a little bit of product and does not interfere with any other product you put beforehand.
Honestly, because I prefer dark brows, and because I expected the shade to be black, I would not repurchase this product again. I found it to works similar to a clear brow gel and I didn’t find any added benefits it could add to my brows.
