Origins Zero Oil™ Pore Purifying Toner is described as toner that is suitable for oily skin. It claims to help keep oily skin matte without over-drying and stripping the skin of its natural moisture.
Packaging and Product Description
Origins Zero Oil™ comes packaged in a plastic blue tinted bottle with a white twist top. The name of the product along with a couple of the key ingredients can be found on the front of the package. The key ingredients include saw palmetto (known to help minimize acne breakouts and combat oily skin), cooling mint (known to provide a refreshing sensation), and pore-minimizing salicylic acid (known to combat oily skin, and act as an exfoliator to keep pores clear so bacteria doesn’t build up and lead to acne). The toner comes out as a clear liquid when being used. Personally, I use a cotton pad to place a little bit of product on, then I gently swipe it over my face.
Origins Zero Oil™ is made without any of the following: parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs, and triclosa.
Performance
I only use this toner after cleaning my face and before applying my facial serum and moisturizer. Upon initial application, I can feel a light minty cooling sensation on my skin. It’s a refreshing sensation and feels great against clean skin. One of the claims to this toner is that it helps to keep your skin matte. As a woman with oily skin, I did not find that this product kept my skin matte, however, I did notice that it reduced the amount of oil that I generally experience when I don’t use it. Additionally, I noticed a reduction in acne breakouts! After about a month of using this product consistently, there were not as much acne and whitehead spots as I had before. Origins Zero Oil™ is the first toner I had purchased in year to help combat my adult acne and I am impressed with the results. I’ve actually used it all up and think that it’s a great product to try out.
