Origins Clear Improvement™ Active Charcoal Mask To Clear Pores is currently one of my favourite facial masks to use. It’s described as an activated charcoal mask that draws out impurities such as toxins, dirt and debris from pores to revel clear bright skin. Origins Clear Improvement™ is formulated without any parabens, sulfates and phthalates. There are a few special ingredients that make this mask effective; according to information found on the product container, the charcoal is similar to a magnet helping to draw out impurities deep within pores while the White China Clay absorbs toxins, and the lecithin melts away impurities.

Packaged in a clear plastic squeeze tube, the full sized container has 3.4fl.oz, 100ml of product. Once you squeeze out the product it comes out the colour of charcoal and applies that way too! The mask is not too thick or runny; an even layer can easily be applied across the face using your fingertips. If you’d like to be fancy, applying the mask with a brush can be done too.

Performance

Personally, this mask dries down to a hard texture within 10-15 minutes (at this point, my face feels frozen and unmovable). Once I wash it off with water my skin is left feeling clean, soft and moisturized. I do feel that the mask does draw out impurities and cleans out my pores without stripping my skin with moisture. It is suggested to prepare your face for application by opening up your pores with warm water, or by placing a warm towel on your face for a few minutes. Do not forget, once you wash off your mask, close your pores by splashing your face with some cool/cold water before adding your moisturizer. This is a great product that I highly recommend!
