Philosophy Hope in a Jar is described as a high-performace daily moisturizer that is suitable for all skin types. It’s hydrating to the skin as it gently exfoliates and protects it from environmental damage. This antioxidant rich formula contains lactic acid and alpha hydroxy acid that helps to gently remove surface dead skin cells.
Packaging and Product Description
Philosophy Hope in a Jar comes packaged in a cardboard box that mimics the same aesthetics as the clear plastic jar containing the product. Inside the box is a small leaflet that describes the benefits of using the product. When you first unpackage the product, upon opening the twist top jar you must break open the protective seal that is keeping the moisturizer fresh. The cream itself is a softly whipped light consistency that is non-oily on the skin and quickly absorbs. It is formulated with no parabens, sulfates or phthalates. There is a faint citrus-like scent laced through the product. It is advised to use Hope in a Jar twice a day and avoid contact around the eye. 60ml/2fl. oz. of product is provided in the jar.
Performance
I’ve been using this product during my nighttime skin care routine and to say that I’m impressed would be an understatement. A few days after testing this product I knew that it would become a staple in my skincare routine. I literally noticed a change in my skin after a week’s use. This is the most moisturizing and hydrating skin care product that I’ve used to date. When I wake up, my skin looks fresh and clear. It is smooth to the touch and plump.
When using this product, I also use it in conjunction with other skin care treatments and products. This cream is complimentary to my nighttime skincare routine as it works well with other products such as serums and oils.
