The Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards brought out the celebrities at the start of the New Year of 2016. If you are not familiar with this award event, this year it runs from Jan 1-11th and celebrates arts, film and promoting cross-cultural awareness. Varying fashions and designers could be seen on the red carpet and I wanted to share a few looks that caught my eye.
Brie Larson in Jason Wu
Many beautiful dresses and gowns graced the red carpet and I enjoyed the designs that were classic cuts in bold colours as well as those that had simple patterns and designs such as lace. I noticed that most women wore minimal and/or understated accessories which let their beauty and outfit shine through.
Ronney Mara in Lavin
Out of all three dresses I’ve posted, I’m leaning towards the forest green dress designed by Jason Wu and worn by Brie Larson. Personally, I feel as though I’d be the most comfortable in the garment and I would be able to wear it on multiple occasions in different environments ranging from the office to a dinner out thanks to its flattering cut and length. I especially like how it has a high-neck held up by thin straps to add a bit of detail.
