Last month I purchased a new foundation. Make Up For Ever (MUFE) Pro Finish Foundation in 178. This MUFE foundation is a multi-use powder foundation that can also by used as a setting powder. I’ve been using and testing this product for about a month and to say that I’m impressed would be an understatement. One of the reasons why I ventured towards this product was because of the colour selections they had for darker skin tones. I appreciated that there were so many options in the shades (and undertones) of brown for me to choose from.
Packaging and Product Description
MUFE foundation in 178 came packaged in a black cardboard box with it’s logo in white text; the the same visuals and inscriptions are front-facing on the actual product once it is removed from the cardboard packaging. The powder is set in a hard shiny black plastic covering (that is prone to fingerprint residue), and has two main compartments. The first compartment holds a mirror, and the product. The second compartment holds a powder puff. This product holds 10g or 0.35 oz. of product. In comparison to one of my other most used powder foundations, such as MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, where you get 5g or 0.52oz. MUFE holds less.
Performance
This powder foundation is the absolute perfect colour match for my skin. I had gone to Sephora to get matched and the sales associate did a wonderful job. You cannot tell that I am wearing a foundation because the shade matches so well to my skin tone. MUFE foundation in 178 is one of the most lightweight powder foundations I have ever worn thus far. It literally feels like I’m wearing nothing when I have it on.
The finish for this product is a natural finish that is neither frosty or matte. I like how it gives my skin a natural glow without looking oily. With that being said, if you have oily skin such as myself I’d highly suggest you wear a mattefying face primer to control your oils so your face doesn’t turn into an oil slick by the end of the day. In my experience, I find this product transfers so be warned not to get in onto your clothes. As a setting powder, the powder is phenomenal! It blends seamlessly with other makeup products such as blushes and powders and makes them look radiant and natural.
Overall, I’m enjoying my Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Foundation in 178. This is my first MUFE product and I was highly impressed with it. I will definetly be checking out their other products.
