Ralph Lauren Midnight Romance

With the new fall season I had to change my latest fragrance. I was looking for something subtle with slight punch. When testing fragrances at Sephora I fell in love with Ralph Lauren Midnight Romance.

Packaging and Product Description
I chose to purchase the rollerball sized of the fragrance. It came with 0.34oz of product packed in a cute light pink box. The fragrance is described as a main blend of pink peony and black vanilla. Other notes include raspberry and ambrox. This is one of the most feminine fragrances I own to date. The pink peony floral stands out as the prominent scent but it’s not overwhelming as the raspberry gently holds it with its berry notes. I find the combination of the two notes lightly linger and waft together as they blend in with the black vanilla. One might think pink peony and black vanilla combination is an odd mix but it works well. The black vanilla anchors the peony by toning down the floral notes and adding a bit of sweetness. The vanilla is not overwhelming and gently lingers throughout the fragrance. The ambrox note adds a bit of mystique to it all.

Performance
The scent wears well on my skin. I was surprised when I had initially began wearing it to see that it could last up to 5 hours. On initial application, the floral notes are what I smell first. As the day goes on, the fragrance changes to a deeper mix with the vanilla protruding more and creating a softly sweet feminine fragrance. Personally, I wear this fragrance during the day as it’s a light enough fragrance to wear, with its hint of depth that is not overwhelming.
