I first came across The Lip Bar at IMATS and instantly fell in love with their lip products. I had to contain myself from excitement and buy one product; in hindsight I wish I would have picked up more! The Lip Bar is a relatively new cosmetic company that prides itself on using natural ingredients such as shea butter, vitamin E, avocado and jojoba oil. Their lip products range from lipsticks, to lip glosses and can be purchased in a multitude of colourful shades.
Packaging and Product Description
The Lip Bar Matte Lip Liqueur in Crown Me comes in beautiful sleek packaging; a narrow tube with a black cut-out handle that is reminiscent to the look of lace. The logo is placed on both sides of the bottle and the name of the product is placed on one side of the product. Crown Me is a deep rich opaque dark berry shade that applies like a gloss and dries down to a matte finish. A soft vanilla-caramel scent is wafted in the product. The handle and applicator tip are the perfect size; not too big, sturdy, and dispenses just the right amount of product on the lips.

Performance
Upon application, I instantly noticed how pigmented Crown Me was. It is not a runny gloss; it dries down to a full matte finish in about 5 minutes. The vanilla-caramel scent is not noticeable once applied. The only time I smell anything is when I open the tube of gloss. This product lasts on my lips until I’m ready to remove it with an oil or soap product. I experience a comfortable wear and Crown Me does not feel heavy or tug at my lips. As with most matte lip products, to prevent my lips from drying I often make sure my lips are moisturized prior to application.
Overall I’m highly impressed with this product and look forward to purchasing more of their products.
