Summer is in full swing and if you are an avid foundation wearer, I’d highly suggest you check out Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector. Becca describes this product as an oil control primer that minimizes pores and keeps your skin matte for up to 12 hours. Becca also claims this product eliminates excess oil, is sweat, and humidity resistant.
I cannot stress enough how well this product works for me! I was introduced to it last year at Sephora by a Becca representative. She tested the product on the side of my face and I was immediately impressed. At first the price tag shocked me but I knew that if I found a primer that could keep my face matte when wearing (and not wearing) foundation it would be a keeper for life.
The product is packaged in a simple brown tube and comes out as a firm gel-like consistency. When applying, if you have dark skin such as myself, pat it on as opposed to swiping it on to prevent the product from showing up on your skin. (If you apply too much, and swipe instead of pat the product you will have a visible powdery look on the skin, dry patches will become visible, and your pores will not be filled in). After application, simply put on any foundation of your choice, and continue on with your regular makeup routine.
As I insinuated earlier, this product works! It keeps your face matte and your makeup lasts in the hottest of temperatures, without breaking a sweat as you sweat. Personally, I use Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector when I wear, and when I don’t wear foundation. I have extremely oily skin and when I don’t want to wear foundation, it helps my skin look reasonable with its mattifying capabilities. Often, I’ll just apply it on my T-zone where I need it most. I’d suggest that your face is exfoliated when applying the primer as it does easily highlight dry skin; once again, when applying Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector be sure to pat and not swipe (or drag) the product on your face to ensure you get the best coverage.
